Lookalike performer/dancer (F, X)

De Munt I La Monnaie is looking for a lookalike performer/dancer (F, X) with a dark complexion and with expertise in aerial dance for the new production of ‘ROMEO & JULIETTE’, an opera directed by Julia Burbach and choreographed by Cameron McMillan.   

Wanted profile: 

• lookalike Jeanine De Bique.
  height approx ‘170cm - 180cm’
  ‘slim to medium build– dark complexion.
• Performer-Dancer ( Female) with training in arial techniques with harness.
• Creative and open-minded, interested in theatre and contemporary performing arts.
• Excellent technical level in contemporary dance. In partnership, floor work and conceptual work is an advantage.

Good to know: 

• The production period:   
• rehearsal period between 20 August and 27 September 2026 at La Monnaie: 
  • From 20 August to 12 September (10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday inclusive)
  • From 13 September to 27 September (10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday - except Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) 
• 11 performances at the La Monnaie theatre in Brussels: 
  • On 29 September & 1, 3, 8, 9, 13, 14 & 16 October 2026 at 7 p.m.,
  • and 4, 11 and 17 October 2026 at 3 p.m.
• Suitable candidates should preferably reside in the Brussels area.
