Guided tour ‘Discover the opera house’
This guided tour of La Monnaie immerses you in the fascinating world of opera, its history and architecture: from the glitz and glamour of the Theatre and its Main Auditorium to the Museum Space where authentic machinery and a wonderful maquette of a baroque theatre à l’italienne are on display. Our guides will share with you their passion for, and knowledge of one of the most innovating opera houses in Europe.

Guided tour ‘Explore the workshops’
Let our guides take you to the beating heart of our opera house: the workshops. There, all the sets, costumes and props for our performances are developed with passion, creativity and expertise. What does that entail? How do our craftsmen and -women combine modern technology with authentic theatre craftmanship? What secrets lie behind the upcoming productions? You’ll find out during this 90 minutes of wonder.
