Àlex Ollé (La Fura dels Baus)

After having inspired audiences all around the world with La Fura dels Baus, the artistic collective of which he is one of the founding members, Àlex Ollé has devoted a large part of his recent career to opera. His visually extravagant and energetic productions, probing today's society without compromise, are also at the cutting edge of stage technology. In anticipation of his upcoming production of Dmitri Shostakovich' The Nose, we asked him to look back on his previous unforgettable stagings at La Monnaie: Le Grand Macabre (2009), Œdipe (2011), Un ballo in maschera (2015) and Frankenstein (2019).
