Party like it's 1899

Always wanted to learn to waltz? Or simply keen to relax in an exceptional setting after a long working day? Here's your chance! In parallel with our production of Der Rosenkavalier, we are inviting you to a crash course (Viennese) waltz, followed by a dance party on the top floor of the La Monnaie Workshops!

First, dance teacher Elena Leibbrand will give you an introductory Waltz session in the Salle Fiocco, followed by a short demonstration of your newly learned skills in the Salle Malibran. Afterwards, the party continues with DJ Funky Bompa, who will take you on a musical journey through time: from the Roaring Twenties to the present day. Of course, an evening like this calls for a drink from time to time, and our bar will remain open until 1.30 a.m.

There is no dress code, but if you want to dress up in your finest dress or most glorious Ballroom costume for the occasion, the evening will be all the more flamboyant...
