The biggest dance scene in Brussels is back in motion!

For the seventh year in a row, Troika Dance will get Brussels moving to the rhythm of dance. This joint programme by La Monnaie, KVS and Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles invites the audience to discover different venues and locations, crossing institutional boundaries and embracing Belgium’s rich artistic heritage. The capital’s largest dance stage will come to life with a varied programme that combines big names and emerging talents.

New this year, each institution is organizing dance workshops led by renowned choreographers, open to a wide audience.

MARC VANRUNXT & GEORGIA VARDAROU / KUNST/WERK

18 & 19.9.2026 – KVS BOX
Together with dancers Robson Ledesma and Júlia Rúbies Subirós, choreographers Marc Vanrunxt and Georgia Vardarou present a dance tribute to artist Blinky Palermo, set to music reminiscent of early Belgian electro.


O AMOR NATURAL

The six performers that make up the heart of O amor natural bring together diverse worlds in terms of age,(in)visible disabilities, ethnicity, libertine or conservative mindsets, experience and more. Together, they transcend the binary codes of yes and no and explore consent in all its non-verbal richness.

Alesandra Seutin takes you on a journey in this exciting performance, inspired by her experiences as a woman with a mixed background.In a provocative game, she peels away the different layers of her identity and mixes dance, theatre, text and song. A journey brimming with dark humour and energy.


UNE TENTATIVE PRESQUE COMME UNE AUTRE

CLÉMENT & GUILLAUME PAPACHRISTOU

They are twins. Dressed identically, they step out on a bare stage. The two bodies – one abled, the other with a neurological disorder (cerebral palsy) – launch into a dance made up of embraces and separations. They hug, cling to each other, then talk or bicker.

9 & 10.12.2026 – KVS BOX
In Version(s), Dorothée Munyaneza brings together two men: Christian Nka, a former boxer and cult figure in Marseille, and Ben LaMar Gay, a composer and musician from Chicago. While Ben’s sounds unfurl a portrait of Christian, for the first time Munyaneza explicitly questions masculinity.

From 2004 to 2009, Peeping Tom toured the world with Le Salon, a piece that reflects decay and loss in seemingly ordinary families. Twenty years later, Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier reflect on the erosion of our certainties with a new generation of artists and audiences.

Moya Michael and Igor Shyshko build on their 2012 duet Darling with six new performers and explore how personal contexts intersect with national events: tyranny, disasters, migration and more. A poetic reflection on how the body carries history and how connection can arise from difference.


MAMA, IN THE AFTERGLOW

Mama, in the afterglow is an ode to motherhood and ballet. Emiel Vandenberghe, age 31, dances a duet with ballet legend Birgit Keil, age 82. The duet is a meeting between generations, between master and student, between artistic mother and son.

Voetvolk celebrates its 20th anniversary with the return of this successful performance. Inspired by the sermons of the ultra-conservative tele-evangelist Jimmy Swaggart, Gruwez masterfully evokes the physical persuasiveness of the word, set to a hypnotic soundscape by Van Cauwenberghe.


A WAVE

ZOË DEMOUSTIER / LAGESTE

In A Wave, choreographer Zoë Demoustier revisits iconic scenes from the 1980s and 1990s. Together with a multigenerational cast, she (re)claims the dance heritage of the ‘Flemish Wave’ and forges her own path with it.

Ten years after his last piece, William Forsythe has created a new choreography for the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company. In the second part of this double programme, Thomas Hauert engages the dancers in a playful dialogue with Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.3.
