These prestigious awards, the 'Oscars' of the opera world, reward the best and most innovative performances of the past season on international stages. In the passed two editions, La Monnaie / De Munt was proud to win the Award for Best New Production, with The Tale of Tsar Saltan and From the House of the Dead, for Best World Premiere with The Time of Our Singing, and last year for 'Equal Opportunities & Impact' with our social programme A bridge between two worlds.

From July 5 to 7, the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra will perform three concerts at the ‘Festival International de Colmar’, a prestigious music festival under the artistic direction of Alain Altinoglu.
The music world is in mourning. On Sunday 16 June, the Belgian soprano Jodie Devos, one the greatest opera talents of her generation, passed away from breast cancer at the age of 35.
In Octobre 2023, La Monnaie made waves with Das Rheingold, the first part of its new Ring cycle. Today, this production was awarded the prize for best scenography by the French Comité du Syndicat de la Critique.
