Our recent production of Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw, broadcast via streaming during last year’s COVID-crisis, is now available on the Alpha Classics label as a CD and as a digital download through.
In 2021, La Monnaie presented a new production of Benjamin Britten's psychothriller in chamber opera format, under the musical direction of British conductor Ben Glassberg and directed by Andrea Breth. Although we had to present this performance via streaming due to quarantine regulations in place at the time, the production was very warmly received, thanks in part to the exceptional performances by Sally Matthews and Julian Hubbard in the lead roles of Governess and Peter Quint. The unique quality of this performance motivated La Monnaie and the Alpha Classics label to record it in studio quality with the singers of the production. This recording of The Turn of the Screw is now available at Outhere Music, on CD or as digital download.
