Two La Monnaie recitals with a heart for cancer research
This autumn, La Monnaie and the Foundation against Cancer are joining forces for two benefit concerts. By purchasing a ticket for Memories (Christoph Prégardien) or Invitation au voyage (Véronique Gens) in our Main Hall, you directly support the fight against a disease that continues to impact too many lives.
“Art enriches, consoles, and invigorates. That alone makes cultural institutions and health organisations natural allies,” the Foundation against Cancer writes about its collaboration with our opera house. Since 1924, this federal organisation has been committed to cancer research, the prevention and early detection of the disease, and the support for those affected by it.
This season, you too can contribute to this crucial mission — simply by coming to enjoy some of the most beautiful songs from the German and French repertoire in our Main Hall. Half of the proceeds from the recitals Memories (5 October) by Christoph Prégardien and Invitation au voyage (24 November) by Véronique Gens will go directly to the Foundation against Cancer.
