Nominations for the 2022 International Opera Awards are now open

Which productions, artists, recordings and special projects coloured the past opera season for you? Draw your list of favourites and reward them with a nomination for the International Opera Awards 2022!

Did you particularly enjoy our world creation The Time of Our Singing directed by Ted Huffman last season? Did MM Ambassadors Sally Matthews and Enea Scala give you goose bumps with their role debuts in Norma? Or was above all Il trittico your season highlight, and have Alain Altinoglu, Tobias Kratzer, Corinne Winters (Suor Angelica) or Péter Kálmán (Gianni Schicchi) all the right to be crowned Conductor, Director, and (Fe)male Singer of the Year?

It's up to you: contemplate, debate and... nominate!

Because from now on you can submit the productions and artists of your choice for an International Opera Award. These prestigious awards, the 'Oscars' of the opera world, reward the best and most innovative performances of the past season on international stages. In the passed two editions, La Monnaie / De Munt was proud to win the Award for Best New Production, with The Tale of Tsar Saltan and From the House of the Dead. Voting for this edition is open until 31 August.
