Outhere Music releases Tchaikovsky CD with Saténik Khourdoïan and Alain Altinoglu
Our Konzertmeisterin, Saténik Khourdoïan, signs her first record deal with Outhere Music. In collaboration with Alain Altinoglu and the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra, she brings a programme dedicated to Tchaikovsky's violin works. The album is available now.
Since his arrival as Music Director at La Monnaie, Alain Altinoglu has always been keen to build a recording policy centred around our Symphony Orchestra and its musicians, especially its soloists.
The French conductor has now turned to our Konzertmeisterin, violinist Saténik Khourdoïan, for a first recording collaboration dedicated to the violin works of famous Russian composer P. I. Tchaikovsky. The programme includes his Violin Concerto, considered to be one of the most difficult and most beloved in the repertoire. On top of that, the CD features violin highlights from the Swan Lake ballet and the nostalgic Valse sentimentale, performed as a duet with Alain Altinoglu on piano.
This CD, which is available now, is a tribute the originality of this incomparable romantic melodist, the virtuosity of Saténik Khourdoïan and the musical osmosis that reigns between the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra and its Music Director.
