MM Tickets will be closed from 5 July to 18 August. Throughout this period, tickets and subscriptions can still be purchased online. The teams at La Monnaie wish you a wonderful summer.
These past couple months, La Monnaie was able to count on your very generous support. Thanks to your many donations during the compensation of our cancelled performances, we managed to collect over 240.000 euros. An essential financial backing to bridge this period of crisis. Thank you!
The Corona crisis has primarily been a challenge on a human and emotional level. But for the many organisations and people involved in arts and culture, the virus has left deep financial scars as well. Productions that have had to be cancelled at the last moment, the lost revenue from our ticket sales and the loss of our Tax Shelter support are tough economic blows for our opera house. But a friend in need is a friend indeed. Many ticket holders of cancelled performances showed a great deal of sympathy and solidarity by not having their tickets reimbursed (in full). This allowed us to recover over 240.000 euros.
Thanks to these donations, our future creative output will not come under pressure. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to each and every one who contributed, in whatever way, to this sum. We can assure you it will be used entirely to offer you a rich programme in the coming seasons.
